FACE Filton COVID-19 support group

Offers: outreach network looking to support vulnerable residents.

A local ‘task force’ of organisation; including school, church, town & L.A. councillors, FiltonVoice, OneYou & a SGC Public Health Officer, being led by a local youth & community charity FACE, which is coordinating a team of local resident volunteers. We have a phone helpline and a community ‘foodswap’. Volunteers from Filton welcome.

Kingswood, Woodstock and New Cheltenham Covid 19 Support

Covid-19 BS15 – Kingswood (Bristol) Support

Offer: Grocery shopping; Prescription collection; Dog walking; Phone chats for those who are lonely.

Single access point to local services where local residents can ask for/offer help, and be linked with local services without the need for searching. Volunteers welcome.

All the local support organisations are being placed under it’s umbrella, including Southern Brooks, Kingswood Foodbank, Holy Trinity Church, Bristol Community Cafes CIC, Impact Trust, and Bromford.

Southern Brooks Community Partnerships

Community organisation that works with communities to provide practical support to help people to stay healthy and connected. SBCP staff can help with access to emergency food and regular phone calls to check on people who may be lonely and isolated. The community support helpline is manned 8am to 8pm 7 days per week.
