We’re proud to have delivered more homes for social rent than any other local authority in England.

We enabled 538 new social rented homes in 2022-23, nearly double the number enabled by the area that came second in the list.

We also delivered 735 affordable homes to buy in 2022-23, some of which were full equity, with others being shared ownership. They were delivered across South Gloucestershire in places including Lyde Green, Yate, and Coalpit Heath.

Our Local Plan, which is currently being prepared for submission for approval by inspectors, aims to deliver 6,709 affordable homes by 2040.
