Council Co-Leader Ian Boulton has given an update to yesterday’s Cabinet on the progress of Lyde Green School.

The Labour Group Leader, who’s also Cabinet Member for Education, Skills, Employment and Business, said the Council has now acquired the land that the primary and secondary schools will be built on.

He also said fences have now been erected in the run-up to the main construction phases.

Parents should expect to send their children to Lyde Green in September 2026, he added.
